The 36 City Parks, over 20 miles of bike paths and over 900 acres of open space remain open. All bathroom facilites at the parks remain open and are being regularly cleaned and disinfected. Coloradoans are encouraged to stay active and healthy by walking, biking and jogging, and the Grand Parks system is a great place to engage in these activities.
Help Plan the Future of GJ Parks and Recreation!
The City of Grand is in the midst of completing the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan. The PROS Master Plan is derived from citizen and stakeholder input, and will provide clear direction for services, facilities, and amenities for the next 5-8 years. A survey is now circulating, which is the single most important instrument that will be used to assess needs in the community.

Join us at the upcoming meeting to see how the Master Plan is evolving:
October 21 — PROS Master Plan Findings: 9 AM at the Bookcliff Activity Center (540 29 ¼ Road) OR 6 PM at the City Council Meeting (250 N. 5th Street),
Virtual participation is also encouraged and comments are accepted with each virtual presentation. Recordings of each presentation will be available for viewing and comment at gjparksanaredrec.org

Grand Regional Communication Center

Emergency and Community Notification System
The Grand Regional Communications Center has implemented an Emergency and Community Notification System. The goal is to provide essential information quickly for a variety of situations. The Grand Regional Communication Center (911) will send alerts about emergencies such as evacuations, floods, gas leaks or other critical public safety information. You may also choose to receive Community Alerts about accidents, road closures, wildfires and prescribed burns, school closures, and power outages.

Notifications can be received on your cell phone, work phone, text message, e-mail, home phone, etc. You can receive information at multiple addresses in Mesa County such as your home address, your work address or your child’s school. The Emergency and Community Notification System provides public safety officials the ability to reach citizens when they are on the go.

The Grand Regional Communication Center will not share or distribute your personal information unless required to do so by law. The information you provide will be used only for its intended purpose. Submitting information is strictly voluntary. By doing so, you are giving Grand Regional Communication Center your permission to use the information for the intended purpose, the emergency notifications system in Mesa County.
